Getting started with App Builder
What App Builder does today, what you need, and the steps from store address to a designed app preview.
App Builder turns a Shopify store into a native app design you can preview and edit. This page covers what works today and the steps to get there.
What works today
- Connecting a public Shopify store by its address.
- Choosing a template and designing the app in the editor with a live phone preview.
- Undo, redo and change history in the editor.
- Optionally storing a Shopify Storefront API token, encrypted.
Still being finished: native Android builds, push notifications and billing. iOS builds need an Apple Developer account and come after Android.
What you need
- A Shopify store that is open to the public (not behind a password page).
- An AppDuz account to save your app and open it in the editor.
Steps
- Open App Builder and paste your store address.
- Pick a template. You can compare them first in the templates gallery.
- Open the editor and arrange sections, colours and navigation.
- Optionally add a Storefront API token, see Storefront API token.
