Connecting your Shopify store
How AppDuz reads a Shopify store, what it reads, and what it never asks for.
AppDuz never asks for your Shopify password and never asks for admin access it does not need.
What happens when you paste your address
AppDuz checks whether the address is a Shopify store. Custom domains and .myshopify.com addresses both work. It then reads the catalogue every Shopify store publishes for shoppers:
- Products, variants, prices, images, tags and availability.
- Collections with their handles and product counts.
- The store title and currency, on a best-effort basis.
This is read only. Nothing in your store changes.
Limits
- Only what the store already shows the public is read. Unpublished products, inventory levels and customer accounts are not.
- A password-protected store returns nothing, and AppDuz shows "could not reach store" rather than guessing.
Checkout in the app
When a shopper checks out, the app hands the cart to your store's own Shopify checkout. No payment details pass through AppDuz.
